Lawn Karma

I think it was last spring sometime I had the audacity to turn to my wife and say "Honey, our lawn looks great. I think it could be lawn of the year in our neighborhood." I worked hard on it. I fertilized, cut and fed the lawn like it was a little baby. It was green and healthy looking. No weeds. I was the envy (no pun intended) of the neighborhood. Proud peacock I was.

Well, I might as well have been the rich fool who sat back to admire the works of his hands because my lawn has been recently possessed by the demon of weeds. Specifically the dollar weed.

Allow me to illustrate.

This is one side of my house. My whole lawn use to look like this.
This side has been saved, redeemed and sanctified.
It is walking in the Spirit, growing in Grace and producing fruit. Good green fruit.

This is the front and the other side. The dark side.
If you decide to click the images below, make sure the kids are nowhere around.
It's hideous I tell you.

It is possessed, I tell you. It has backslided.
Or if you're a Calvinist, it never was a green lawn and it needs to repent.
Lord have mercy.
I spent a good part of today wrestling with it, applying another round of week killer.
Please pray for the deliverance of my lawn

I have learned my lesson. Pride goes before a fall.
Lord, please save my lawn. The neighbors are starting to talk.

I leave you with the wise words of John.
No, not that one. The other one.

I am DYING laughing. Best line..."if youre a calvinist you believe the lawn was never saved in the first place...? BWHAHahahah!

Did you know the dollar week thrives on excess water? Just quit watering...thats right...see what happens then
